One Person Rescued After Truck Drives Off Embankment in Rancho Santa Margarita

One person rescued and transported to a local hospital
One person was rescued after a truck drove off the side of an embankment in Rancho Santa Margarita on Monday, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
The incident occurred at around 3 p.m. near Alicia Parkway and Santa Margarita Parkway. The truck reportedly went off the road and ended up 120 feet down the hill.
"Our firefighters quickly executed a low angle rope rescue," said an Orange County Fire Authority news release. "Once the patient was safely rescued, our firefighters paramedics transported the patient to a local hospital."
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by authorities, and no further information has been released at this time.
