Truck Fire Closes Rt. 2 in Glastonbury, CT

According to state police, a truck fire caused the closure of Rt. 2 eastbound in Glastonbury, CT on Friday morning. The incident occurred between exits 8 and 9, prompting authorities to shut down the roadway while crews responded.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. However, due to the severity of the situation, it was necessary for officials to temporarily close off this section of Rt. 2.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CT DOT) has confirmed that the highway has since been reopened after emergency personnel successfully extinguished the flames and cleared any potential hazards from the scene.
