Highway reopened

According to state police, a truck fire caused the closure of Rt. 2 eastbound in Glastonbury, CT on Friday morning. The incident occurred between exits 8 and 9, prompting authorities to shut down the roadway while crews responded.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. However, due to the severity of the situation, it was necessary for officials to temporarily close off this section of Rt. 2.
