Truck Hits Bridge, Traffic Rerouted on Peters Creek Parkway

Traffic being rerouted, bridge damage being assessed
According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, a truck hit the West Clemmonsville Road bridge on Peters Creek Parkway, causing both directions of traffic in the 3100 and 3200 blocks to be rerouted. The North Carolina Department of Transportation is currently assessing the damage caused by this accident.
To ensure public safety, barricades have been placed around the area of impact, and drivers are being advised to avoid traveling through that section of Peters Creek Parkway. "Westbound Clemmosville Road traffic will be diverted to northbound Peters Creek Parkway," while "Eastbound Clemmonsville Road traffic will be diverted to southbound Peters Creek Parkway."
Furthermore, Southbound Peters Creek Parkway will remain closed until Friday. Traffic will instead be redirected onto the Clemmosville Road offramp through a traffic circle before returning back onto Peters Creek Parkway southbound.
As for those involved in this incident, there has been no word regarding their condition at this time.
