Road blocked in one direction, major delays during morning commute
A road in Mint Hill, North Carolina was blocked on Thursday morning due to a truck spilling its load of chicken parts. The incident occurred at around 5:45 a.m. on Fairview Road near Interstate 485. According to reports, the truck was carrying chicken guts.
As a result of the spillage, Fairview Road had to be closed at I-485 causing major delays during the morning commute. Workers were seen hosing off the road in order to reopen it for traffic.
Police advised drivers entering Mint Hill from Union County to detour using Rock Hill Church Road to Lawyers Road while they worked on clearing up the mess.
