Brothers Oleg and Yakov Tarasevich Killed in Semi-Truck Crash on I-10

A tragic accident occurred early Wednesday morning on June 14th, resulting in the death of two brothers. The incident took place at around 3:00 a.m. on the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Hancock County, Mississippi.
According to officials from the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), a semi-truck hauling cars went off-road and hit several trees before blocking lanes of traffic at the two-mile marker. The driver, Oleg Tarasevich (29), and his passenger Yakov Tarasevich (24) were both killed instantly. They were residents of South Carolina.
The cleanup process lasted for nearly ten hours as traffic was backed up for approximately ten to twelve miles. Multiple secondary rear-end crashes were caused by this backup.
