Driver injured in two-car crash near Doral

Driver transported to hospital with minor injuries
A two-car crash near Doral resulted in one vehicle ending up in a canal and the driver being sent to the hospital, according to officials. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon at Northwest 92nd Avenue and 58th Street.
Emergency services from both Doral Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded quickly to the scene of the accident. Fire rescue crews had to extract occupants of one vehicle that had gone over a guardrail and into the water.
Fortunately, despite being submerged, "the driver of the submerged vehicle managed to get out and head back up the embankment," said an MDFR spokesperson. Paramedics then transported them with minor injuries to an area hospital for treatment.
Thankfully there were no other reported injuries resulting from this collision. However, police closed off roadways around 95th Avenue and 58th Street while they investigated what caused this accident. These roads have since reopened for traffic use once again.
