Two-Car Crash on I-90 in Willoughby Hills: 38-year-old man and 70-year-old woman injured

Westbound lanes reopened, injuries reported
The westbound lanes of I-90 in Willoughby Hills have reopened following a two-car crash that occurred on Saturday afternoon. The accident took place near mile marker 188 at approximately 3:15 pm, according to the Willoughby Hills Police.
Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered a heavily damaged 2019 Toyota Camry facing eastbound in the westbound lanes and a similarly damaged 2005 Acura sedan also facing eastbound in the westbound lanes. Investigation revealed that the Toyota had been traveling eastbound on I-90 when it veered off the highway and drove through the median for several hundred feet. Subsequently, it crossed into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with the Acura in the center lane.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as a 38-year-old man, became trapped inside his vehicle due to extensive damage caused by impact. However, first responders managed to extricate him from his car successfully. He was then transported to hospital via Metro Life Flight for treatment of his injuries.
The driver of the Acura is reported to be a 70-year-old woman who sustained serious injuries as a result of this collision. She was promptly taken to a local hospital for medical attention.
