Two cars and motorcycle severely damaged, those involved only had minor injuries
According to officials, a possible race gone wrong resulted in severe damage to two cars and a motorcycle in Elk Grove, California. The Elk Grove Police Department is currently investigating the incident that occurred on Thursday at around 8 p.m. on Elk Grove Boulevard.
While the investigation is still ongoing, speed was likely a contributing factor in the crash. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found both vehicles and the motorcycle "extensively damaged and engulfed in flames." Fortunately, those involved only sustained minor injuries.
As part of their investigation, both vehicles were impounded for further examination. At this time, no additional information has been released regarding the cause of the accident or any potential charges that may be filed.
