Two Children Killed in Car Crash with Amish Buggy

Two children dead, two others hospitalized

In a devastating incident, two children lost their lives and two others were hospitalized after a collision between a car and an Amish buggy on Monday morning. The accident took place in Fillmore County, Minnesota.

According to Fillmore County Sheriff John DeGeorge, the crash occurred when a 2005 Toyota 4Runner SUV traveling southbound on County Road 1 collided with a horse-drawn Amish buggy also heading southbound near the intersection with County Road 102.

Tragically, seven-year-old Wilma Miller and eleven-year-old Irma Miller did not survive the collision. Both children were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, emergency services rushed a nine-year-old and thirteen-year-old to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the crash. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.

All four children involved in this heartbreaking incident are siblings who reside in rural Stewartville.

The driver of the Toyota has been identified as a thirty-five-year-old woman from Spring Valley. At present, no charges have been filed against her regarding this tragic accident.

Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this devastating crash as they work to determine its cause.
