Two dead, four injured
A tragic car accident in Freedom, New York has left two children dead and four others injured. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when a man lost control of his vehicle and collided with a car driven by his sister.
According to state police, two of the passengers in the sister’s 2005 Ford Focus, 17-year old Havanah S. Lopez and 6-year old Molly Kibler, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford Focus, Dahlia J. Klink, along with a four-year-old passenger were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was identified as Evan R. Klink who is said to be Dahlia's brother. He was treated for injuries sustained during the collision before being taken into custody for evaluation at a state police station.
Another passenger in Evan's car also suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital.
As investigations continue into this devastating event that has rocked this rural town in western New York State; our thoughts are with those affected by this tragedy.
