Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two individuals tragically lost their lives on Tuesday following a devastating crash in Choctaw County. The incident occurred near County Road N 4220 in Grant, Oklahoma, at approximately 6:35 p.m., according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Authorities reported that the vehicle involved was traveling northbound at an excessive speed when the driver lost control. The car veered off the road to the left, subsequently rolling over and colliding with a tree. Sadly, both the driver and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

Rescue efforts were hindered as both victims remained trapped for approximately six hours before being freed by members of the Hugo Fire Department.

The identities of those involved have not yet been released pending notification of next-of-kin. The investigation into this tragic accident is ongoing.
