Two Dead in Head-On Collision on Lake Mary Road in Flagstaff

Two people have lost their lives in a head-on collision that occurred on Thursday night southeast of Flagstaff, Arizona. The accident took place at around 6:30 p.m. on Lake Mary Road at milepost 330 when a northbound Nissan Maxima sedan crossed the center line and collided with a Toyota Corolla driving south.
The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene and there were no passengers in either car. The identities of the deceased have not been released yet.
According to reports, the driver of the Maxima had a suspended license and showed signs of alcohol impairment. Investigations are still ongoing to determine what may have led up to this deadly crash.
A stretch of Lake Mary Road was closed during investigations but reopened around 12:30 a.m. Friday morning.
