Two People Killed in Morgantown Crash Involving Semi Truck
Early Saturday morning, a car and a tractor trailer collided on Powell Ave. in Morgantown, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The driver of the Toyota, Papa Yaw Acheampong from Boyd, Maryland, and one passenger identified as Antonio Darrell McDaniel from Morgantown were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
According to the Morgantown Police Department (MPD), the second passenger in the car was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained as a result of the crash.
The driver of the semi-truck did not sustain any injuries during this incident.
The MPD is investigating this fatal accident and urges anyone with additional information regarding it to contact them at (304) 284-7522.
