Two Dead and Nine Injured in Five-Car Crash in Longview

On Monday afternoon, a five-car crash occurred in Longview, resulting in the death of two people and injuries to nine others. The incident happened on North Eastman Road when a white Chevrolet Sonic traveling at high speed failed to stop and collided with another vehicle.

According to officials, the Longview police responded around 5 p.m. to the scene located at North Eastman Road and Fourth Street. The accident involved five cars, including the Chevrolet Sonic driven by Callie Bearden, 19 of Longview who later died from her injuries after being taken to a local hospital.

Another victim identified as Shelby Partain, 32 years old and a passenger of another car also passed away due to her injuries sustained during the collision.

Nine other individuals were injured and transported for treatment at nearby hospitals. Police are still investigating this tragic event that has left many families devastated.
