Two Dead, One Injured in Oakland Car Crash

According to the Oakland Police Department (OPD), a car crash in Oakland on Sunday morning resulted in two fatalities and one person injured. The incident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. at the intersection of 73rd Avenue and Holly Street.
The OPD reported that one vehicle was traveling southbound on 73rd Avenue when it attempted to make a left turn onto Holly Street. At that moment, it was struck by another car heading northbound on 73rd Avenue.
Following the collision, the driver of the second vehicle exited the stolen car and fled from the scene. Meanwhile, both occupants sitting in the front seat of the first vehicle were pronounced dead at the site by OPD officials. The passenger seated in the back sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Their current condition remains unknown.
Law enforcement officers later apprehended and arrested the suspect who had fled from his stolen vehicle after an extensive search effort across multiple locations within Bay Area jurisdictions.
