Two Dead and One Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on I-75 in Flint Township
A wrong-way crash on northbound I-75 near Beecher Rd. has left two people dead and one badly injured. The accident occurred around 10:35 p.m. on Saturday night, according to the Flint Township Police.
The crash involved a car with three occupants being hit head-on by a 43-year-old man from Flint Township who was driving his car south in the northbound lanes of the highway. The collision killed a 24-year-old woman from Flushing and a 31-year-old man from Mundy Township, while leaving another passenger, a 27-year-old resident of Flushing, in critical condition.
Flint Township Police suspect that alcohol may have been involved as they believe that the wrong-way driver had been drinking prior to the accident.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed this tragic incident to come forward and contact Flint Township Police at (810) 600-3250.
