Two Dead, Several Injured in Ohio Turnpike Crash Involving Darcia Clayborn and Lashell Silver

Two people have lost their lives in a single-car crash that occurred early Friday morning. The accident happened at around 6:15 a.m. on the Ohio Turnpike near milepost 137 in Amherst Township.
The vehicle involved was identified as a 2016 Nissan Murano which was traveling west when it veered off the road and up an embankment before hitting a wooded area and flipping over. Two women who were passengers in the car, Darcia Clayborn (22) and Lashell Silver (42), were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other victims, Patrice Morris (29) and a juvenile, were airlifted to Cleveland Metro Hospital while Monay Gaines (19) was transported to the same hospital with serious injuries. All of these women are from Maryland.
The Lorain County coroner’s office has taken custody of Clayborn's and Silver's bodies for further investigation while police continue to investigate what caused this tragic incident.
