Two people dead

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a train collided with a truck resulting in two fatalities on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred at around 1:36 p.m. in Lisbon, Iowa, at the 120th block of 115th St.

The ISP crash report revealed that the driver's side of the truck was hit by an eastbound train when it attempted to cross the railroad. Neither victim has been identified yet.

Emergency services from multiple departments including Lisbon and Mount Vernon fire, police and EMS as well as Mechanicville fire, Iowa Department of Transportation and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources were all present at the scene.

This is still an ongoing investigation and updates will be provided by TV6 both on-air and online.
