Two Dead in Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 529 in Harris County

Three people suffered serious injuries and two men died.
According to authorities, a two-vehicle crash on FM 529 in northwest Harris County has resulted in the death of two men. The incident occurred at around 11:30 a.m. near Bartlett Road on Wednesday.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted about the accident and stated that three Life Flights were requested. HCSO Lt. Simon Cheng reported that the collision involved a blue Volkswagen SUV and a white work van, with one vehicle traveling westbound and the other heading eastbound.
It is unclear why one of the vehicles crossed over into opposing lanes, but both cars were reportedly driving at excessive speeds when they collided.
Three individuals sustained serious injuries from the crash and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Unfortunately, one passenger from the work van passed away while receiving medical attention along with the driver of the SUV.
The investigation into this tragic event is ongoing as authorities continue to gather information regarding what led up to this fatal accident.
