Two Dead in Violent Crash on Route 20 in Charlton, Massachusetts

The operator of the motorcycle and a passenger in the station wagon died of their injuries.
Two people have tragically lost their lives in a violent crash on Route 20 in Charlton, Massachusetts. The incident occurred near the vehicle entrance for the popular Tree House Brewing Company.
According to Charlton police, the collision took place at approximately 11 a.m. on Thursday along 129 Sturbridge Road, which is part of Route 20 and also serves as the listed address for the brewery. The crash involved a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle and a 2015 Subaru Legacy station wagon, both of which sustained significant damage. Debris from the accident was scattered across the roadway.
Authorities have confirmed that both the operator of the motorcycle and a passenger in the station wagon succumbed to their injuries. However, their identities have not yet been released by officials.
Preliminary investigations suggest that while traveling east on Sturbridge Road, the motorcycle collided with the Subaru as it was making a left turn into Tree House Brewing Company's driveway.
The Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and Worcester County District Attorney's Office are currently conducting an investigation into this tragic incident. As part of this process, Route 20 had to be temporarily closed in both directions for several hours. Fortunately, by around 2:45 p.m., authorities were able to clear up the crash scene and reopen traffic flow along that stretch of road.
