Both drivers died in the collision. No other occupants were involved in the crash. The southbound lanes on I-65 were closed for more than five hours following this crash. They have since reopened.

An investigation is underway following a fatal car crash on I-65 South in Nashville, Tennessee. The incident occurred early Sunday morning near Harding Place when two vehicles collided head-on. According to officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation, one vehicle was traveling the wrong way on I-65 South before crashing into the other vehicle.

Tragically, both drivers died in the collision and no other occupants were involved in the crash. The southbound lanes on I-65 were closed for over five hours as emergency crews worked at the scene but have since reopened.
