Two Injured in Crash near Riverside

Two individuals were rushed to the hospital on Sunday following a collision near Riverside. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Highway 22, close to the off-ramp from Highway 218.
The Iowa State Patrol stated that a pickup truck driven by a 14-year-old collided with the rear of a UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle), resulting in injuries for two occupants of the utility vehicle. The severity of their injuries remains unknown at this time.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene and transported both injured individuals to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics located in Iowa City for further medical treatment.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and have not released any additional information regarding potential causes or contributing factors.
