Two Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident on Bronx River Parkway

Two people were taken to Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries.
Westchester police are on the lookout for two individuals who fled the scene of a hit-and-run accident that left two people seriously injured. The incident occurred on the Bronx River Parkway, just north of the Cross County Parkway, at around 7 a.m. on Monday morning.
According to authorities, an Acura MDX was traveling on the parkway when it collided with another vehicle and then hit a pickup truck. The truck veered off the road and crashed into a tree, causing serious injuries to the two occupants.
The driver and passenger of the Acura fled the scene on foot, leaving their vehicle behind. Police have identified the suspects as two individuals who were last seen on McQueston Parkway in Mount Vernon.
The Westchester Medical Center has confirmed that the two occupants of the pickup truck are receiving treatment for their injuries. The police are urging anyone with information about the suspects to come forward.
"We are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident or who has information about the suspects to contact us immediately," said a spokesperson for the Westchester Police Department. "We are determined to bring these individuals to justice and ensure that they are held accountable for their actions."
The investigation is ongoing, and the police have not released any further details at this time.
