Driver and passenger of the sedan transported to the hospital with minor injuries
Two individuals sustained minor injuries following an accident involving a school bus in Ritchie County on Monday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. near Harrisville, as reported by the Ritchie County 911 Communications Center.
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency crews confirmed that a four-door sedan and a school bus had been involved in the collision, according to information shared on the Ritchie County Sheriff's Department's Facebook page.
The driver and passenger of the sedan were transported to the hospital with minor injuries by Ritchie County EMS, stated both the Facebook post and communications center.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported among those aboard the school bus. At this time, there is no available information regarding what caused the accident.
In addition to emergency medical services, responders from both Harrisville and Cairo fire departments also arrived at the scene to provide assistance.
