Two 20-year-old Wooster Residents Killed in Car Crash

Two fatalities, one non-life threatening injury
Two 20-year-old residents of Wooster tragically lost their lives after their car veered onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a minivan, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on September 28 at approximately 4:32 p.m. The Wooster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol received notification about a two-car crash on SR-83 near milepost 7.
Upon investigation, it was determined that a teal 1993 Dodge Stealth traveling southbound on SR-83 failed to navigate a curve and crossed over into the opposite lane. Subsequently, a taupe 2006 Chrysler Town and Country minivan heading northbound collided with the Stealth in its path.
Both vehicles came to rest against the guardrail along the berm of SR-83 north. Tragically, both occupants of the Dodge Stealth, identified as Damion D. Torrence (the driver) and Dalton R. Cisler (the passenger), were pronounced dead at the scene by authorities from OSHP.
The driver of the Chrysler Town and Country minivan, a 56-year-old woman from Wooster whose identity has not been disclosed, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. She was promptly transported to Wooster Community Hospital for treatment.
All individuals involved in this devastating accident were wearing seatbelts at the time of impact—an important safety measure that likely prevented further harm or loss of life.
OSHP is currently conducting an ongoing investigation into what led up to this tragic collision. At present, it remains uncertain whether drugs or alcohol played a role in causing this incident.
