Two Caledonia residents killed in Eaton Township crash

Two killed, four injured
A tragic accident in Eaton Township, Michigan has left two people dead and four others injured. The crash occurred on Wednesday morning at around 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of E. Clinton Trail (M-50) and S. Stewart Road.
According to authorities, a Ford F-150 traveling southbound on Stewart Road collided with a semi-truck that was driving westbound on M-50. Two out of the five occupants in the Ford were killed in the collision while three other passengers and the driver of the semi-truck sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment.
The victims who lost their lives have been identified as Elisa Bailey, aged 42, and Delisa Bennett, aged 21 - both residents of Caledonia.
Following the incident, M-50 remained closed for approximately ten hours as investigations took place into what caused this fatal crash.
The Eaton County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation into this tragedy which has shocked local communities across Michigan.
