Two Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash in Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Va. - Virginia State Police have reported that two people were killed in a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred in Charlotte County on April 14th.
According to state police, around 7:50 pm on Friday, a sedan traveling south on Route 47 about 1.5 miles south of Route 360 when they allegedly drove off the right side of the road and hit a tree. The collision ignited a fire and destroyed the vehicle.
"Both the driver and passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene," said the state police.
The Office of the Medical Examiner for Examination is currently performing an autopsy and positive identification. The crash remains under investigation.
