Two Killed in Utah Road Rage Incident

On Sunday, two people lost their lives after a pickup truck involved in a road rage incident collided with their vehicle. The incident occurred near the Eagle Mountain city center around 1:30 p.m., according to the Utah County Sheriff's Office.

The road rage altercation began between a sedan and a truck before both vehicles continued north on Eagle Mountain Blvd. and turned east onto State Route 73 (Cedar Fort Road). "Details about exactly what happened between the two vehicles are still being investigated," said Sgt. Spencer Cannon.

Shortly after turning onto SR-73, the pickup truck reportedly lost control and veered into the oncoming lane where it struck an unrelated westbound vehicle head-on. Both occupants of that vehicle were killed instantly.

The driver of the pickup was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while police have questioned the sedan driver as part of their investigation. The identities of those who died have not yet been released.
