Two minors lost their lives in a car accident that occurred late Sunday night in Tampa. The incident took place at the intersection of South 20th Street and Hemlock Street at around 10:52 p.m., as per the Tampa Police Department.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old who had both succumbed to their injuries. The police department stated that excessive speed was one of the contributing factors leading up to the crash.
As authorities examined the area, traffic along South 20th Street remained closed for several hours. At present, law enforcement officials are still investigating what caused this tragic event.
