Two people taken to an area hospital with minor injuries
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 29 in the Northland area resulted in two individuals being sent to the hospital. The incident occurred just past 169 Highway when a vehicle attempted to change lanes and collided with a Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) truck, causing it to hit the barrier.
Missouri Highway Patrol Sergeant Andy Bell provided details about the accident, stating that "a two-vehicle crash was reported around 7:45 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-29." Fortunately, both occupants involved sustained only minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Due to this collision, sections of both northbound and southbound lanes along Interstate 29 had to be closed temporarily. However, authorities worked diligently to clear debris from the scene and restore normal traffic flow as quickly as possible.
It was not until approximately 10:30 a.m., nearly three hours after the crash occurred, that all lanes reopened for public use. Motorists experienced significant delays during this period but can now resume their journeys without obstruction.
