Two Semis Crash on Westbound I-80 near Toledo Airport

Westbound I-80 near the airport is currently experiencing significant traffic delays as crews work to clean up a crash involving two semi-trucks that occurred on Thursday morning.

According to officers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol who were present at the scene, the incident took place when a UPS truck was slowing down due to traffic congestion and was rear-ended by another semi-truck. The collision resulted in minor injuries for both the driver and passenger of the second semi-truck, who were subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

As a result of the accident, hundreds of packages have been scattered along the roadside ditch. Cleanup efforts are underway but are expected to take several hours before normal traffic flow can be restored in this area.
