Robert John Mach and Mary Erickson Mach Injured in La Crescent Collision

A two-vehicle collision in Houston County, Minnesota sent two people to the hospital on Sunday night. The accident occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 16 and Hwy. 26, just south of La Crescent.
According to reports from the State Patrol, an SUV traveling west collided with an eastbound two-seat motorcycle at the intersection of the two roads. The operator and rider of the motorcycle were identified as Robert John Mach and Mary Erickson Mach respectively, both aged 64 and residents of La Crescent.
The couple was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the crash. Meanwhile, Maor Leker Locker (25) from Rochester who was driving the SUV did not suffer any injuries.
Alcohol was not involved in this incident and it has been reported that neither occupant on board the motorcycle had helmets on at that time.
In response to this event, several emergency services including Houston County Sheriff’s Office, La Crescent Fire Department and Gundersen Ambulance arrived promptly at the scene.
