29-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Jefferson County

One man dead, a woman in critical condition, and a third man not transported to the hospital.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, April 22, at around 10:45 p.m. The accident occurred in the 3400 block of 15th Street in Jefferson County, Alabama. According to the police report, one of the vehicles crossed over the center line, striking the other head-on.
The impact of the collision resulted in two people being transported to hospitals. Unfortunately, one of the victims, a 29-year-old man, was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The other victim, a 51-year-old woman, is currently listed in critical condition. A third man involved in the accident was not transported to the hospital.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team was called to the scene and is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The identities of the victims have not been released pending notification of their families.
