Two-Vehicle Crash in Lake Charles Claims Life of 19-Year-Old Kara Lemons

A tragic car accident occurred in Lake Charles, LA early Sunday morning resulting in the death of a 19-year-old woman. The crash involved two vehicles and took place at the intersection of Common and Bienville streets. According to Lt. Jeff Keenum, spokesman for the police department, "The crash was reported to Lake Charles police at 3:29 a.m." Upon arrival, officers discovered that one of the drivers involved in the collision had passed away due to her injuries. The victim has been identified as Kara Lemons from Lake Charles.
Sgt. Shaun Touchet from the Traffic Division of Lake Charles Police Department is leading the investigation into this incident while standard toxicology results are still pending according to Keenum.
