Two Women Killed in Major Two-Vehicle Crash in Houston
Authorities have confirmed that two women were killed in a major two-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon. The incident took place at around 3:21 p.m. local time at 4399 W. Tidwell Road, northwest Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department (HPD), a gray pickup truck and a black sedan collided with each other resulting in the death of both women who were traveling in the sedan. The driver of the pickup truck was taken to hospital and is currently stable.
The scene was captured by SkyEye where it showed the flipped over pickup truck lying in the middle of the road. HPD Lt. Larry Crowson stated that "the details of how the crash occurred are still unclear" and added that "the investigation is ongoing".
Although there were no obvious signs of intoxication from either driver, authorities are continuing their investigation into what caused this fatal accident.
As a result, W.Tidwell Road was closed in both directions as they investigated further into this tragic event.
