Two Young Men Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Winter Haven

Two young men tragically lost their lives in a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Winter Haven, Florida on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place on Recker Highway near Commercial Boulevard, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
The authorities received a call about the crash at approximately 2:20 p.m. It was reported that a Buick LaCrosse had lost control after driving through a large puddle, causing it to spin out of control and veer into the southbound lane. Subsequently, the car collided with a 53-foot Coca Cola semi-trailer before both vehicles crashed into a utility pole.
Deputies have identified the victims as 19-year-old Cameron Williams from Auburndale and 18-year-old Neil Bryant II from Winter Haven. Tragically, both individuals succumbed to blunt force trauma sustained during the collision. The sheriff's office revealed that Bryant was ejected from the vehicle during impact. Additionally, neither of them were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Meanwhile, emergency services transported the driver of the Coca-Cola truck to a nearby hospital for treatment following his involvement in this devastating incident. Fortunately, he has since been released after receiving medical care.
At present, authorities are continuing their investigation into this tragic crash which claimed two young lives in Winter Haven yesterday afternoon.
