The Madison Mallards' Sunday game against the Wausau Woodchucks has been rescheduled following a devastating car accident involving an umpire from the Northwoods League. Conor McKenzie, a dedicated and respected member of the league, tragically lost his life while en route to officiate the Mallards' home game.
In an official press release on Sunday, the Madison Mallards expressed their deep sorrow over McKenzie's passing. The team revealed that he was traveling with two other umpires who fortunately sustained stable conditions after the crash.
