UPS Truck Crash Causes Power Outages in Downtown Jonesboro

Several power outages and traffic delays
Jonesboro, Arkansas - A crash in downtown Jonesboro has caused several power outages and traffic to back up. The incident occurred on Tuesday, April 25, at around 7:30 p.m. on Madison Street.
According to Jonesboro-Craighead E911 dispatch, a UPS truck struck a pole, which took down several power lines and knocked out power along Madison Street, Huntington Street, and Union Street. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the crash.
Jonesboro City Water and Light crews were called to the scene to restore power. In the meantime, people are asked to avoid the area while crews work to restore power.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. More details will be provided as they become available.
