UPS Truck Crashes Into Home, Totals Car In Hamden

A UPS truck crashed into a home and totaled a car in Hamden on Wednesday night. The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Hideaway Lane.
Home security footage appears to show the truck losing control and going off the roadway towards a house. A crane had to be used to lift the truck away from a parked car.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by police.
The extent of any injuries is unknown.
Residents in the area were shocked by the incident. "I heard a loud bang and then saw the truck in my neighbor's yard," said one witness.
The UPS driver has not been identified and it is unclear if they sustained any injuries.
