A tragic accident occurred early Thursday morning in Vancouver, Washington, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. The crash took place around 7 a.m. on Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard.
According to local authorities, the investigation suggests that a Ford F-150 traveling eastbound was making a left turn into a parking lot when it collided with a westbound motorcyclist. The impact occurred on the front passenger side of the truck.
Regrettably, the motorcyclist's identity has not yet been disclosed; however, they were pronounced dead at the scene. Police have determined that excessive speed played a significant role in causing this fatal collision as the motorcyclist was reportedly traveling approximately 30 mph over the posted speed limit.
The driver of the Ford F-150 fully cooperated with law enforcement during their investigation and showed no signs of impairment.
