Two People Transported After Vehicle Accident in Clarksburg
Two individuals were transported to United Hospital Center in Bridgeport following a vehicle accident on Shinnston Pike in Clarksburg, West Virginia. The incident occurred on Saturday and resulted in an entrapment situation.
The Harrison County 911 received the report of the accident at approximately 4:53 p.m. local time on July 15. It involved two vehicles and led to the entrapment of individuals inside one of the cars.
As a result, emergency responders from various agencies rushed to the scene, including Bridgeport EMS, Harrison County EMS, Spelter FD, and Lumberport FD. They worked diligently to extricate those trapped and provide medical assistance.
WV511 reported heavy traffic congestion along Shinnston Pike as a consequence of the accident until at least 6:25 p.m.
The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating the incident to determine its cause and any contributing factors.
