Vermont Man Dies in Colchester Crash

A tragic accident in Colchester, Vermont has claimed the life of a local man. According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday afternoon at around 4 p.m. The crash took place at the intersection of Clay Point Road and U.S. Route 2.
The victim has been identified as Nicholas Ringuette, a 33-year-old resident of Colchester. He was driving a pickup truck that had come to a stop at a stop sign on Clay Point Road when another vehicle collided with him.
The driver of the other vehicle has been identified as Christopher Pugh, a 38-year-old man from Grand Isle. Pugh was traveling westbound on Route 2 when he veered off the road and crossed over a grass median before crashing into Ringuette's truck.
Tragically, Ringuette succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. Meanwhile, Pugh sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Local law enforcement officials are currently investigating the crash in order to determine its cause and any contributing factors. They urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information relevant to their investigation to contact them immediately at 802-264-5555.
