Krystal Linski Identified as Victim in Fatal 2-Car Crash on Groton's Gold Star Highway

Linski was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Silverado and her daughter were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
A fatal two-car crash occurred on Friday evening on Route 184 between Buddington Road and Gungywamp roads, according to Groton police. The driver of a Ford Explorer, identified as 30-year-old Krystal Linski of Mystic, was traveling eastbound on the Gold Star Highway when the SUV left the road and hit a metal guardrail. The Explorer then traveled back onto the road and across the east and westbound traffic lanes before hitting a Chevy Silverado traveling in the opposite direction.
Linski was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Silverado, a 37-year-old Ledyard woman, and her 9-year-old daughter were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The girl was taken to Yale's New Haven Children's Hospital where she is in critical condition.
