Multiple Occupants Injured in Waldorf Dump Truck and SUV Accident

Multiple occupants injured, one transported to Charles Regional Medical Center and the second patient was rerouted to Capital Regional Trauma Center. Police continue to investigate the incident.
Police, fire, and rescue personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle accident in Waldorf, Maryland on April 18th at approximately 8:09 a.m. The accident involved a dump truck and an SUV on Billingsley Road at the intersection of Piney Church Road.
Upon arrival, crews found a dump truck overturned and an SUV on fire with multiple occupants injured. Firefighters quickly extinguished the vehicle fire. Hazmat teams and a sand truck were requested for fluid spills in the roadway.
EMS evaluated two patients on the scene for chest pain and headaches. One patient was transported to Charles Regional Medical Center and the second patient was rerouted to Capital Regional Trauma Center.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and updates will be provided as they become available.
