A Warrensburg woman has been arrested after causing a three-vehicle crash while driving under the influence. Heather Charon, 41, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and several vehicle and traffic law violations.
The incident occurred on June 3 at around 3:40 p.m. State troopers responded to the scene of a three-car crash with injuries on State Route 9 in Warrensburg. According to reports, Charon was driving northbound when she struck a parked car which then hit another parked vehicle. The first car that was hit had a child inside who sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Charon's blood alcohol content (BAC) was recorded at four times the legal limit - 0.32%. She was subsequently arrested and taken to SP Chestertown for processing.
