Warwick Police Officer in Critical Condition After Crash with Tractor-Trailer

A Warwick police officer is currently in critical condition following a serious collision with a tractor-trailer on Tuesday night. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Route 94 in Warwick, according to authorities.
The female officer, whose identity has not been disclosed, was struck by the truck in a T-bone fashion. The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to veer into the parking lot of Pin Street Bowling Alley and resulted in the overturning of the police cruiser.
Rescuers discovered the injured officer unconscious and in dire condition. In order to extricate her from the wreckage, responders had to remove the roof of her patrol car—a process that lasted approximately 45 minutes.
Fortunately, there was some positive news amidst this tragic event as reports indicate that she regained consciousness after being freed from her vehicle. Subsequently, she was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center for treatment where she presently remains under critical but stable conditions.
