Driver of the Tuscon transported to the hospital for treatment
A Washington County Sheriff's deputy was involved in a crash on Friday morning that resulted in one person being sent to the hospital. According to WCSO, Deputy Morgan Ransiear was responding to an injury accident at the intersection of County Road 45 and Dutch Hall Road at approximately 7:35 a.m.
Deputy Ransiear was traveling east on County Road 40 when he lost control of his patrol car due to wet roads. As a result, his vehicle, a 2022 Ford Interceptor, crossed over the center line and collided with a 2022 Hyundai Tuscon.
The driver of the Tuscon sustained injuries and was transported by Fort Calhoun medics to Immanuel Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, Deputy Ransiear did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
Following the crash, the Nebraska State Patrol took charge of investigating the circumstances surrounding this collision.
