Watertown man seriously injured in motorcycle crash with dump truck

A 61-year-old man from Watertown was seriously injured in a crash involving his motorcycle and a dump truck on Thursday, June 15th. The incident occurred at around 5:30 p.m. on County Highway R near County Highway O in the Township of Lebanon, Dodge County.
According to Sheriff's officials, the collision happened when the dump truck was turning into a driveway in front of the motorcycle. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist wasn't wearing a helmet at that time which resulted in serious injuries.
The driver of the dump truck who is also from Watertown and aged 52 years old did not sustain any injuries during this unfortunate event.
This serves as another reminder for all motorists to always wear protective gear while driving or riding their vehicles especially motorcycles where there are higher risks involved.
