Wilmington Man Dies in Motorcycle Wreck at Intersection

A tragic accident in Wilmington, North Carolina claimed the life of a young man on Thursday night. The incident occurred at the intersection of Cinema Dr. and S. Kerr Ave, involving a motorcycle and a Honda Pilot.
According to the Wilmington Police Department (WPD), 25-year-old Dock Woodard Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities responded to the crash shortly after 9:30 p.m., where they immediately began assisting other first responders from the Wilmington Fire Department and Novant Health EMS in providing medical aid to Woodard.
Despite their efforts, Woodard's injuries were too severe, leading to his untimely demise. Thankfully, no one in the Honda Pilot suffered serious or life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
The WPD Traffic Unit is currently investigating this tragic incident to determine its cause and any contributing factors.
