Woman and Child Killed in Car Accident in Lake City, Florida

Woman and child pronounced dead, two other children in sedan with serious injuries, minor injuries for driver of white SUV, no injuries for occupants of blue SUV.
A tragic car accident in Lake City, Florida has claimed the lives of a 28-year-old woman and a 6-year-old child. The incident occurred on Saturday when their sedan lost control due to wet road conditions and veered onto the wrong side of I-75.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the sedan was traveling south around 5:00 p.m. when it skidded out of control. It crossed over the grass median and ended up on the northbound side of the interstate, where it collided with a white SUV. The impact from this collision then caused another collision with a blue SUV.
Tragically, both the woman and child were pronounced dead at the scene by authorities. Meanwhile, two other children who were also in the sedan sustained serious injuries as a result of this devastating accident.
The driver of the white SUV suffered minor injuries but is expected to recover fully. On a more fortunate note, all three occupants inside the blue SUV escaped without any injuries.
